ADR Sample from Hierarchy

about this video:

When we were approached by Russel Reed (director/producer) and Chiderah Uzowulu about recording and placing the ADR for his film Hierarchy, we had no idea the extent the project would entail. It turned out that an entire SD card full of audio recordings from two days of filming over a weekend had somehow been misplaced, requiring entire scenes to be re-recorded. 3000+ lines of recording sometimes up to 50 takes of a single line later, we closed ProTools for the final time, having just exported the final AAF to be delivered to the wonderful folks at Legion Post for final mixing. And boy, what a journey!

Over a month of recording, actor coaching, lip synchronization, and the sound of the 1000Hz Blip tone burned permanently into Russel and our heads, and we had accomplished what very few ADR studios have been able to achieve: completely transparent ADR. As you watch the scene here, take note of how perfectly aligned it is, and how perfectly matched the reverbs and room tones are.

Meticulous work begets great artistry.
